Fullstack Job: Web Development Instructor

Are you excited about helping young adults get the web development and soft skills they need to prepare for the future of work and get hired or advance their career? We are looking for instructors with experience teaching web development to join our all-star team. A natural teacher, you are great at empathizing with the needs of students and are able to put yourself in their shoes. You recognize that creating great learning experiences is about more than content and curriculum, and work to create multi-faceted touchpoints to keep learners engaged and excited. You are also an instructor that is comfortable with facilitating small groups along with digital delivery modes.

Additionally, you will be provided with training on Prepr's PIE Program in order to prepare you to teach Project Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. You will also receive support from a Prepr Instructor as you get ramped up (including co-teaching), along with a wide variety of teaching materials. Being bilingual in French is a key asset, please share if you are comfortable teaching in French!

Today, Prepr creates virtual labs that enable organizations to deliver collaborative learning experiences combining project-based learning, challenge-based learning, and micro-credential achievements in order to help students, employees, job seekers and startups upskill and re-skill, on their journey to becoming lifelong learners and problem solvers.Your responsibilities:

• Teach web development skills and best practices using a variety of modalities including hands-on interactive sessions
• Work with students individually and in teams to support with skill develop
• Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure programs are delivered successfully including creating a positive learning environment for all participants
• Facilitate the development of participants soft skills from creativity and innovation to adaptability to communication
• Support the creation of new learning labs and challenges for learners, including specializations for different levels and coding languages

Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to facilitate and teach virtually
• 3+ years teaching experience
• Experience with teaching fHTML5, CSS, and Javascript
• Experience with LAMP stack or similar
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment and meet deadlines
